Evaluation of created posters

I evaluated existing created posters, that students have created, to know what I need to do for a higher grade.

What is needed for a Level 3/4?
To achieve a level 3/4 I need to show good ict skills, and have to provide good conventions of a horror film to make sure the genre is obvious. The image I'm gonna use should look like it's supposed to be for a horror film.

Good ICT skills include:
- Conventions of horror
- Genre is clear
- Clear image.
- Intriguing.
- Readable.
- Different fonts/font sizes.

What needs to be taken into consideration when creating my own poster?
- Main image needs to be clear and intriguing and link to the plot somehow.
- Title needs to be big and bold.
- Selling line needs to be clear.
- Don't use too many colours and only use colours that are specific to you genre

What should be avoided?
- Just throwing a picture and a title on top of a background, without thinking about it.
- Font that don't go with your genre.
- Genre not being clear.
